The Arts
Millbank has long been at the centre of British art. Millbank features in both Whistler's and Turner's work, so it is only fitting that their work can be found on public display here at Tate Britain. This is not the only neat artistic circle. Henry Moore, arguably the most important British sculptor of the 20th Century, lectured at the Chelea College of Art. Moore's former college has found a new home at Millbank, which fittingly stands opposite the Henry Moore Gardens.

Art St
The pedestrian link between John Islip Street and Millbank is a unique site for an art installation – it’s the capital’s first street conceived as a work of art. The link itself has been dubbed ‘Art Street’ and was created by artist Susanna Heron and measures 80-metres long and 7 metres high.
The piece is split into three sections – four recessed slate engravings entitled Elements, a mirrored etched glass wall – ‘The Reflecting Wall' –which brings reflected light into the covered entrance and enables views around the corner and a roof designed to create shafts of light, which move along the street during the day.
