Millbank Court has the advantage that a management company run by the lessees appoints the managing agents and controls the service charge and expenditure on all repairs and maintenance. It tries to adopt a pro-active approach to maintenance, rather than fixing things after they have gone wrong.
Our principal aim is to provide lessees with good value for money for the service charge they pay. This website is part of the service and the Member Area provides lessees with all the latest service charge information and plans for future capital expenditure on major works.
The management company, John Islip Street (management) Ltd, has implemented a strategy to enhance the appearance and amenities of the block with respect to the original style of the building. The internal common parts were redecorated in 2005 and a programme of further works is on-going. The reception area was recently refurbished to a design by well known London architect's practice, bdAr ( www.bdar.co.uk). bdAr also created the design for the stunning roof garden that boasts a wonderful panoramic view of London.
There is a substantial sinking fund is maintained from which major items of works are funded.
